Lobby at The Maddox is about preserving the ritual of sharing a meal. If eating is the simple act

wasted. We believe that time spent with friends and loved ones around a meal is time well
spent.

We believe in the concept of striving for an unhurried life, taking time to enjoy the simple
pleasures – starting at the table.

We believe in linking the pleasure of eating with the commitment to
protect the community and respect the people who grow our food while preserving our environmental and culinary culture.

We are passionate about preserving heritage, tradition and history. Our lovingly restored
building is as much a part of our passion as is our concept around food.

In our busy world the trend is to rush off in different directions, to eat on the go, and in our
eating alone we have lost something that makes us uniquely human.
